NBEAs success
Gavin shared the following during his interview about the event:
“The Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards are important to the county. They bring businesses and people together, and it’s a really fun environment. Three words to describe it would be community, supportive and excellence.”
More than five hundred guests attended the event at the Northamptonshire County Cricket Ground. The evening opened with Ben Thomas, Managing Director of the event’s organisers All Things Business, delivering remarks on important local business community issues. Including strengthening links to education and mental health.
He also revealed that they renamed the award for outstanding contribution to the county the David Laing Award. This follows the former Lord-Lieutenant of Northamptonshire and champion of local businesses passing away earlier this year.
Award entertainment
Comedian Alex Horne, known from TV’s Taskmaster, hosted the night with his band, The Horne Section. They provided funny musical comedy and stand-up as they presented awards to the county’s best.
