Sales Executive
Our client are looking for a Sales/business executive to drive profitable sales growth through the identification and acquisition of new customers while maintaining relationships with existing customer base to achieve agreed revenue and customer retention targets
The Sales Executive will carry out many of the following tasks:
- Develop and implement a sales strategy aimed at expanding the business share in the general haulage sector which clearly demonstrates a strategy for growth within the business.
- Develop stronger relationships and grow business within the existing customer base.
- Face-to-face customer visits, both existing and new.
- Lead generation through relationship selling processes and prospecting for new business to encompass recycling feedstock, general haulage, and pallet networks.
- Engage in market research to identify new business opportunities and understand the latest trends in the UK logistics/haulage sector.
- Forecast, track and report on sales metrics and performance.
- Collaborate with our ops and logistics teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Attending industry events and trade shows to represent the company and build our brand presence.
- Take an active part in management meetings with the aim of contributing to the development of future company objectives.
- Produce monthly sales reports and take an active part in sales target control and development.
- Produce quotes, proposals and proactively negotiate haulage rates to achieve the best financial outcome for the business.
- The design and production of sales and marketing literature.
- Report on competition activity offering solutions and strategies to ensure the business is best placed to react to market demand.
You will:
- Proven experience in sales and business development.
- Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills
- IT literate with a good standard of computing functions, word, excel etc.
- Ability and confidence to deal with customer demands both negative and positive in a professional and influential manner.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to empathise and influence.
- A proactive and results orientated individual.
- Ability and confidence in cold calling and showing creativity in selling the services of the business.
- Ability to evaluate and anticipate customers’ needs.
Salary upto 33k plus yearly bonus
